Love, but ...
This formula is silky, not greasy and just perfect EXCEPT for the scent. It's not subtle at all in my opinion. Perfection would be an unscented version.

Very good product
I've been using this now for several weeks. It has a silky texture and goes on easily. I'm using the tinted version now instead of foundation, but would like a little more glow, so I'm looking for a light powder to go on top of it. It is incompatible with the under eye concealer I usually use (makes the concealer ball up) so I'm looking for an alternative there, too. While I notice, but don't mind the scent, I do find that my skin was a bit dry after about 1 hour. I'm countering it by applying coconut oil about 5 minutes before applying this product.

I would like to personally thank @Australian Gold for your outstanding product(‘s). Great job, I will definitely be ordering again! You guys rock! I couldn't have asked for more than this. It is the best! I am definitely a customer for life! Please never discontinue. I just can't get enough of It, It’s my favorite sunscreen I use it every single day. Over a few years I have bought more than twenty 5 oz squeeze tubes! I don’t let any of it go to waste. I cut them open and scrape out what's left. I tried the Botanical SPF 30, 50, 70, Kids SPF fragrance free & the tinted one. I love all of them but the tinted one is a bit too dark on me (I’m very fair skinned)
I love that it’s non greasy and has matte finish.

Please continue making this product!
I have melasma and have tried every mineral sunscreen on the market. This is by far my very favorite and I almost had a panic attack when I could no longer find it at Wal-Mart; I was afraid it had been discontinued! Thankfully I can order it online. The fragrance is delicious and completely non-irritating to your skin. The lotion leaves a matte finish which is a great foundation for your makeup. I wear this lotion every day and reapply before evening workouts. Please continue making this lotion!!!

Not like the face lotion!
I wanted to love this as much as I love the tinted facial lotion but they put SO much, heavy perfume in this that I had to toss it. The claim is that it's a "subtle" scent but it honestly is overpowering! I'm hoping they'll make an unscented version soon.

Love this sunscreen!
I bought this a month ago in Hawaii after reading about the damage chemical sunscreens were doing to the reefs. I burn super easy but found with the minerals I didn’t burn! It’s a very effective sunscreen and now that I’m back home in San Diego I apply some each morning before heading out. I read some reviews about the scent - and for those people it sounds awful - but I love the scent! Australia Gold, maybe make an unscented version - but keep the original!!

Great but awful fragrance
This fragrance is insanely strong. It’s like walking into a bath and body works. It makes me nauseous. Fragrance is awful for the skin too. This doesn’t need fragrance. I’m disappointed because finding non greasy, non whitening reef safe, budget friendly sunscreen is hard and this ticks all boxes and then they had to add fragrance. I’m going to return it cause of this only. Definitely sucks.

I came on to the website just to write this review this product. Great smell and concept for reef safe sunscreen but this is honestly the worst sunscreen I have ever used. :/ The product doesn’t rub into your skin and turns skin a milky shade of white. In hot and humid weather the sunscreen melts off your body and gathers white sweat beads within 5 minutes. I applied, jumped in the ocean for 5/10 mins and then laid in the sun for less than 10 minutes with partial shade coverage and was SO burned after. And I had applied the cream liberally. When swimming the sunscreen drips off of you... I wanted so badly to like this product, but it needs a lot of improvement. Maybe it’s ok for colder climate but definitely not good for tropical places or beach time!

I regret buying it
I bought this sunscreen to use in the Caribbean over spring break. I was excited that it was a reef safe formula, but I started using it after I already had a sunburn, and it was really hard to rub the sunscreen in. It wasn't transparent like other formulas; rather, it made me look pale and blotchy. I felt uncomfortable. When I tried to remove the sunscreen in the shower, it wouldn't come off. Layers of it stayed on my body, and I had to scrub my sunburnt skin to try and remove them (I was only partially successful). So, I had a bad experience with this sunscreen, and my friends and I laugh about it now. But, it was not funny in the moment...at least for me. I really like that this sunscreen is reef safe, and it smells nice. But overall, I did not like it.

Can’t get past the scent
I want to love this sunscreen. It’s effective, goes on nicely, and provides good protection. However, the scent is sweet and pineapple-like and it’s strong and overpowering. People even comment about the scent when I walk into a room after using this... and I say comment, not compliment. Please make this in a scent free version and I’ll buy it for life!

Not for dark skin
I bought this to use on vacation and it turned purple! I applied it on my arms and legs so I looked ridiculous when I went out in the sun. I was hoping it would come off after 2 days (I showered, went to the pool, beach but still a weird purple hue) but nope. I had to scrub vigorously with castle soap for it to come off of my skin. This also happened to my brother. It doesn’t seem like many others had this issue, so maybe it just doesn’t work well on black skin.

Cancun safe
bought this for our recent trip to Cancun (just got back on Thursday) it is amazing! No burn, slight tan and pain free! Cons: it will get on your swimsuit/clothes and leave a faint white mark. Better to put on carefully. Also it will leave a slight white hue to your skin, if you rub it in its not so noticeable, but that is preferable to a painful burn! The scent i found was light, not overpowering at all, even my husband used it after he got badly burned using the spray sunscreen.

Works well!
I bought this a couple weeks ago after watching a YouTube beauty personality talk it up. I actually wear it on my face (need to purchase the tinted face sunscreen and try that!) and it wears beautifully. After it dries the white cast fades and it leaves a wonderful non-greasy finish. It works well under moisturizer and makeup and even does a little oil absorbing. Definitely recommend.

Fragrance gave me a migraine
I had to scrub this sunscreen off after half an hour after the scent gave me an awful migraine. It was also very thick, hard to spread, and left a white cast.

Say goodbye to after-sun products because this sunscreen is here to save your skin! Stays on, not greasy, works great on sensitive skin. Skin cancer runs in our family so we do whatever it takes to protect our skin. My son & i are very pale & he has eczema & it works on both of us. Started using this stuff 2yrs ago & we've never been burned while wearing it. After i wash it off, my skin feels amazing too! We're an Australian Gold family all the way.

Like but do not love
I like the fact that this sunscreen is botanical with antioxidants and not greasy. The only thing I wish the Mfg would change is the white cast. This needs a tint so it doesn't look like paste on the skin. Less white than some sunscreens but still needs a tint. If it had a tint it would be perfect.

Make it unscented!!
I adore the botanical face tinted sunscreen line so was excited to try a body sunscreen with a similar dry feel but the scent it awful. Way too strong to even co side using. If I want to smell like something I will buy perfume! Stop putting annoying fragrances in everything else. I’d be a lifelong customer if this was unscented.

Not so good..
I’ve used a lot of different sunscreen.. This is the worst one I’ve ever used. It stays on your body like a thick white layer, even if you use a little.. I literally had to scrub it off in the shower, making my skin red and painful. And the worst thing, it doesn’t work.. Result: red painful skin with a white layer.

Absolutely Disgusting Scent
The finish and feel of this sunscreen is amazing, it is completely matte which is impressive since I have extremely oily skin. However, the scent makes this completely unwearable. It smells like a toilet cleaner and is extremely strong, the scent barely dissipates even after hours of wear. I'm normally not sensitive to scents but this one gave me a headache and I felt nauseous while wearing it.
Even though the finish is so great, I can't recommend this product purely because the smell is so offensive. I don't understand why they would give this sunscreen fragrance when they're able to make their tinted sunscreens fragrance free. Without the smell I would give it a 5/5 but the scent alone is so bad I'm only giving a 2/5.

Does NOT come off...
Went on fine but when I got home my face was PURE WHITE and this stuff does NOT come off. My eyebrows were fully white with this paste stuck in them!! I'm about to try shower # 2 to see if I can get it off...shower # 1 was unsuccessful.

Terrible product
Leaves white coating on your skin as it dries out the skin and makes it look all wrinkled and cracked. Would try to get my money back but will probably throw it out. I've already found something else to try.

The only sun screen that stays on my horse!
I bought this to try on my horse's nose. It burns to blisters in the Georgia summers! Most are too lotion like and thin and just melt off. This stays! Works! And is safe for her! She loves the scent!

On my skin -- Best Skincare & Beauty Product Ever
I bought the non-tinted version first because I wanted my husband to try it also. Figured I would buy him the non-tinted one that we could both test and then later I could get the tinted version if it worked for me. Well, as a guy, I can tell he likes it because he's continuing to put it on every day. It goes on a little white, but blended into his skin quite quickly. I decided to try it the next morning --- it had a very distinct Lavender color on my face. I must say it took extra effort to work it in, BUT the pay-off was well worth it. For me, since it had a lavender hue, it acted like a color corrector, really evening out my skin tone. Also, I have extremely oily skin, and after MANY hours of wear, I'm not even shiny. I still think I want to try the tinted version, but I'm Super Happy with the non-tinted one. It's my Sun Protection, Color Corrector & BEST Matte product EVER !!!!!!!!!

Bought this before vacation. I used it on the first day and I am so burnt. It didn't not apply well, and left this gross milky film on my skin that would not come off, even after scrubbing he with soap and water. Was applied as directed and still left me with the worst burn of my life. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from purchasing this. I was expecting so much more from such ambitious expensive product.

Excellent product without parallel
I came across this product ( Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Mineral lotion (147ml)) while on the Royal Carribean cruise (Quantum of the Seas) and I purchased 3 tubes. I wished I had purchased more because I love this product so much. It is such an excellent product, gives you total coverage and such a nice sheen and very gentle on the skin. Also, it is friendly to the environment. I live in Singapore and would like to purchase this product again. I hope Australian Gold will make this product available in Singapore. Please can you let me know where I can buy this product from in Singapore. Thank you very much. This product ranks above all other brands of sunscreen product I have used. I want to be able to continue using this product and hope it is available in Singapore.

I bought this product a month or so ago. I use this product on my arms and hands. It does dry very fast and then it leaves a white residue on your skin. I’m not sure if this is normal or not. I put on hand cream right after. Did this happen to anyone else?

OMG! I never write reviews. But I had to write this because this sunscreen deserves more than the praise it's getting. Guys...this sunscreen is almost matte. No grease. No slippery mess. NO WHITE CAST. It's so smoothing. It almost feels like a $50 face lotion. Thank you so much for making this. Please never ever stop making this! NEVER. THAKN YOU FOR THIS AMAZING PRODUCT.
