California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure The California Transparency in Supply Act of 2010 requires select companies doing business in the State of California to identify their efforts in combating slavery and human trafficking from their direct supply chains for tangible goods offered for sale. New Sunshine, LLC expects that all of its vendors will abide by all applicable national, state and local laws, regulations, rules and ordinances in the manufacture of merchandise and/or services. New Sunshine, LLC encourages all of its vendors to exceed the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions or Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter and work towards the elimination of slavery and human trafficking. New Sunshine, LLC efforts in this commitment include the following:
Certification Every vendor that sells products and/or services to New Sunshine, LLC and its subsidiaries is required to comply with the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter along with our corporate conflict of interest policy, business ethics and practices which identifies the necessary conditions prior to being granted the opportunity to engage in business with New Sunshine, LLC. Every vendor warrants that all goods and service ordered have been manufactured, compounded or produced and delivered in full compliance with all national, state and local laws, rules, regulations and/or ordinances of any kind which includes the non-employment of workers younger than minimum age for employment or the age for completing compulsory education in the country of manufacture and the non-use of involuntary labor in any of its forms: prison, indentured, bonded, slave or human trafficked. New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter are incorporated in all of the company's standard agreements. All vendors are required to agree and fully comply with all the obligations present in the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter as the agreements are updated in the normal course of business.
Verification, Auditing and Accountability New Sunshine, LLC requires all of its vendors to contractually comply with the obligations identified in the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter without exception. Vendors that fail to adhere to the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter may lose the opportunity to maintain its business relationship with New Sunshine, LLC. Our vendors' compliance with the obligations contained in the New Sunshine, LLC Conditions of Order and Vendor Products Compliance Letter are verified by New Sunshine, LLC team members. As part of our internal efforts towards compliance, the company has an anonymous hotline for our team members for the purpose of reporting violations of company policies or other matters. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Like our vendors, all team members are required to comply with our corporate conflict of interest policy, business practices and ethics. The failure of any team member to observe and follow our business ethics, policies and practices may result in disciplinary action including but not limited to the termination of employment along with any applicable civil or criminal penalties, if appropriate.
Training New Sunshine, LLC is training its team members who have direct responsibilities for supply chain management on the mitigation of the risks with respect to human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain of tangible goods.
